Instant Gulab jamun/ BREAD Gulab jamun

Ingredients:

For Gulabjamun:
White Bread slice  9-10
Milk 1/2 cup

For sugar syrup:
Sugar 2 cup
Water 1 cup
Cardamom crushed 1/2 tsp
Rose essence 1 tsp

Method:

For sugar syrup

  1. Boil sugar and water on low flame. Once sugar dissolved then add cardamom powder. Let boil the syrup until it becomes slightly sticky. Check with your thumb and index finger.
  2. Add rose essence to syrup once it is little bit cool.

For Gulab jamun:

  1. Take off the edges of bread slices and  Soak bread slices in milk, squeeze excess milk. Keep aside for 15 min. meanwhile you can prepare sugar syrup. Then make small or medium size balls by rolling the dough between your plam. (Size depends on your choice but remember they double when soaked in syrup.)
  2. Fry the gulab jamuns on low heat until they are dark brown in colour.
  3. Immediately add them to sugar syrup. Rest them for 1/2 hr so that they absorb the sugar syrup and enlarge in size.
  4. Gulab jamuns are ready to serve.
